There are many ways that you could be involved!
Work with Youth
Teen Center: Do you care about youth in your neighborhood?! Do you have the capacity to respect and support youth ages 11-19? The Teen Center is often looking for positive, safe, and fun adults to volunteer during our drop-in hours.
Other options for volunteer work with youth include:
Arts facilitation: teach a specific arts activity or creative skill during our Momentum Arts Group (link to page).
Social Justice: facilitate a workshop for youth around issues of oppression, social justice, and anti-bullying
Media Creation: provide training for youth in filmmaking, video editing, meme and gif generation, social media ethics, etc.
Music Education: teach basic guitar, keyboard, or drum lessons
Instrument Repair and AV Support: restring guitars, repair drums, support use of recording equipment
We are also seeking ongoing support in the following areas:
Tech Support: update computer software, website support, clearing computers of viruses, etc.
Fundraising: assist fundraising efforts through special events hosting/participation, approaching donors or local businesses for donation
Building Maintenance: help out with repair projects and odd-jobs. Welcoming contractors for more specialized building projects
