There are many ways you can be involved!
You can work with youth:
Teen center: Do you care about youth in your neighborhood? Do you have the capacity to respect and support youth ages 11 to 19? The Teen Center is often looking for positive, safe, and fun adults to volunteer during our drop-in hours.
Other options for volunteer work with youth include:
Arts facilitation: Teach a specific arts activity or creative skill during our Momentum Arts Group.
Social justice: Facilitate a workshop for youth around issues of oppression, social justice, or anti-bullying.
Media creation: Provide training for youth in filmmaking, video editing, meme and gif generation, social media ethics, etc.
Music education: Teach basic guitar, keyboard, or drum lessons.
Instrument repair and AV support: Re-string guitars, repair drums, or support use of recording equipment.
We are also seeking ongoing support in the following areas:
Tech support: Update computer software, give website support, clear computers of viruses, etc.
Fundraising: Assist fundraising efforts through hosting or participating in special events hosting, or approaching donors or local businesses for support.
Building maintenance: Help out with repair projects and odd jobs. We are welcoming contractors for more specialized building projects!
