In 2003, The Brick House purchased the historical Turners Falls Fire House, located downtown at 24 Third St. After a series of building renovations, The Brick House opened our doors as Community Resource Center, offering space for any community organization, individual, or group wishing to host programs that support individual, family and community well-being. We have welcomed a wide array of programs and events that align with our mission.
During Covid, rental space is currently unavailable. Check back on the website for updates to when spaces will be available to rent again.
Who uses the Brick House?
We offer space for any community organization, individual, or group wishing to host programs that are in alignment with our mission to support individual, family and community well-being.
This has been an amazing year for community events and programs at The Brick House! The Movement Studio has been used by local teachers to hold small, affordable classes in dance, children’s movement, yoga, therapeutic kickboxing, and other creative activities.
The spacious front room has been used for 30 concerts in the last year, as well as film screenings, parent council meetings, a mentorship program for young women, training for mediators, music and theatrical groups for adults with disabilities, and public events for children and families. The Brick House has also provided space for activist groups working towards transportation justice, racial justice, substance abuse prevention, and support for incarcerated adults. We have hosted free summer meals, a children’s summer camp, and much more!
Both our Movement Studio and our Front Room are available to rent for one-time events and regular classes or activities. We offer discounted space use on a sliding scale, dependent upon the purpose, size, and format of group (link to space use contract/fees) Any revenue generated through space rental helps to support The Brick House activities. Rental fees are discounted for space users who choose to volunteer!

The Front Room
