In 2003 the Brick House purchased a historic firehouse, located at 24 Third Street in downtown Turners Falls. After a series of building renovations we opened our doors as Community Resource Center, offering space for any community organization, individual, or group wishing to host programs that support individual, family, and community well-being.
Our community spaces have been used for concerts, film screenings, dance classes and performances, yoga and meditation, parent council meetings, a mentorship program for young women, training for mediators, music and theatrical groups for adults with disabilities, and public events for children and families. The Brick House has also provided space for activist groups working towards transportation justice, racial justice, substance abuse prevention, and support for incarcerated adults. We have hosted free summer meals, a children’s summer camp, and much more!
