Film Screening and discussion

Liyang Network Western Mass will host a FREE film screening of “Sa Ngalan Ng Tubó” on Sunday, February 11 at 7pm, at the Brick House Community Center, 24 3rd St, Turners Falls, MA.
The 2005 documentary details the resistance efforts, subsequent massacre, and ongoing advocacy of peasant farmers at Hacienda Luisita in Tarlac, Philippines. Following the screening, we will discuss the relevance of this struggle in today’s efforts against imperialism and the connections of the ongoing political struggle in the Philippines to other global liberation movements.
Free snacks and childcare will be provided.
